In this episode, we hear how breast cancer is viewed from a distance. One of my besties, Kellie Knight, joins us to talk about how breast cancer and understanding women’s health is viewed from a different culture and upbringing. Kellie was born in Barbados, raised in Trinidad, and comes from a conservative family where breast cancer and women’s health were very private topics. Kellie also talks with us about how a friend who’s miles away can still show support in ways that matter most; she also talks of how breast cancer is perceived by those more removed from it and how it changed for her when her friend was diagnosed.
