3rd Party Fundraising

What is 3rd Party Fundraising?

When you and/or your organization want to benefit LOCAL breast cancer patients and decide to run a fundraiser benefiting Keepers of the Flame Foundation.

Examples:

  • Have a bake sale
  • Jeans Day at work/school for a cause
  • Have your sports team run a competition (make it fun, make it wacky, make it fiercely competitive… it’s your event, you get to decide)
  • Car wash
  • Create a friendly competition between two groups in your line of work
  • Donate a % of proceeds to KotF
  • Hold office competitions like “boss for a day” raffle or parking space auction organized by staff members

What to do:

  1. Decide what kind of fundraiser you want to do (work to your strengths, have fun)
  2. Let Keepers of the Flame Foundation know. We’d love to help promote you/your business and share pictures too.
  3. Run the fundraiser
  4. Submit all funds raised to Keepers of the Flame, and we will provide you with a tax-exempt donation letter.

How to collect money and submit to us:

You have options!

  • You/Your Organization collect funds – OPTION 1
    • Advantage – Your organization receives tax-letter for the full amount
    • Collecting funds – you/your organization manages
    • Submitting funds – After the event, you submit the full amount raised to us. You can either write a check made out to Keepers of the Flame Foundation, or you can submit the total funds through our DONATE button at the bottom of the page. NOTE: do not have individuals use button below for your event because it will be difficult for you to track. If you prefer that they have a digital option, then consider option 2.
    • Fun Fact and Promotional Ideas (not required)- we can have a check presentation photo op

If your event requires a bit more assistance and you’d like to inquire about having us set up a donation page, where funds get collected digitally and go directly to us (you don’t have to handle money collected), then reach out! We’d love to discuss how we can help!

  • You inquire with KotF about ability to set up a donation page specifically for your event – OPTION 2
    • Advantage – You don’t have to handle any of the money. People can pay digitally and funds come directly to us.
    • Collecting funds – KotF collects funds. Since this option has individuals pay KotF directly through a link we create for you, they get the tax-letter.
    • Submitting funds – You would submit funds paid in cash to us. For these, you can either write a check, get us the cash, or use the specific campaign link created for your event.
