Program: Transportation Assistance
We’ve partnered with UWCE and the Women’s United Transportation Fund to assist qualifying breast cancer patients with gas cards and/or uber rides to their lifesaving treatments. Hear Kristen’s story (below) as a testament of this program’s importance.

Eligibility:
- Breast Cancer Patient
- Live in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Liberty, or Long County
- Annual Household Income is below 80% regional median income levels
- Note: A letter of attestation from the hospital social worker confirming county of residence and household income limits is requested in application for verification of eligibility.
How it works:
- Eligible patients complete the application with the help of hospital POC (social worker/nurse navigator)
- Once approved, KotF will coordinate a delivery of gas or Uber cards to hospital POC.
- Hospital POC will deliver directly to the patient.
- Note: If patient is not eligible, they may be eligible for our Hardship Program funds instead.
