Podcast #42: Komen Coastal Georgia’s 2020 Race for the Cure with Featured Survivors

This year’s Savannah Race for the Cure, originally set for April 18, 2020,(Ellis Square), has been postponed due to the corona virus. It is their goal to keep patients, survivors, those living with metastatic breast cancer, our support networks, and our communities safe. Stay tuned to their website for updates (www.komencoastalgeorgia.org). In today’s episode, we will hear from their 2020 featured survivors: Margie Singleton and Chante Frazier. Margie, a survivor, worked to change Georgia law around breast density notification; and Chante, also a survivor, works in the radiation department and understands first hand what these women are going through. Both are heroes in our home town and are standing side-by-side with Susan G. Komen to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. Hear more about their stories, why they are excited for this year’s race, and how you too can get involved, have fun, and make a difference. Register for the race now! #togetherweweatherthisstorm
